There Schluter®-DITRA-HEAT membrane integrates the essential characteristics of the DITRA membrane into a system of customizable and comfortable heated floor . Here are the details :

• Uncoupling : The geometric configuration of the DITRA-HEAT cleats effectively neutralizes the differential movement constraints between the substrate and the tiles, thus reducing the risk of cracking and detachment of the tiles.
• Waterproofing : The polypropylene composition protects the substrate from moisture, which is crucial for the durability of installations.
• Steam management : Gaps beneath the membrane allow excess moisture and vapor to escape from the substrate, preserving the integrity of the tile covering.
• Load support/distribution : When placed on a solid foundation, the membrane can support enormous loads.

Other advantages of the DITRA-HEAT membrane:

• Nominal thickness of 1/4" (5.5 mm) : Limits the thickness of the tiles and the height of transitions with lower coverings.
